    Valuation Trends: Toyota

Having been in the collector vehicle and specialty insurance space for more than 40 years, we know this for sure: values are always changing. That’s exactly why it's so important to place vehicles on a Guaranteed Value® policy with a partner that regularly monitors changes in value and helps communicate that to agents and customers. At Hagerty, we have a whole team dedicated to Automotive Intelligence, including valuation, pricing and market trends. In fact, they helped us gather the information for this whole Cars You Should Know campaign.

Two notes: When we talk about the “average value” here, we’re talking about the average condition 3 value. If you want to learn more about what “conditions” look like, check out our visual guide. Also we reference the Hagerty Price Guide throughout the article. The price guide is the premier collector car value guide—accurate, up-to-date, and without pricing bias or prejudice.

    Land Cruiser

    • All models up: According to the Hagerty Price Guide condition 3 value, all Land Cruisers in the guide have appreciated 9% from $22,000 to $24,000 in the past five years.
    • Highest value for condition 1: The FJ80 series of the 1990s has the highest condition 1 value of all Land Cruisers, with the 1997 model year examples at $172,000. That’s more than 7x the value of a good condition example.

    Supra

    • Rising values: The average condition 3 value for the Supra is up 60% from $23,900 to $38,300 over the past five years.
    • A wide spectrum: As of January 2025, the Mk IV 1993-98 Supra has a condition 3 average value of $61,400. However, a best-in-the-world example (condition 1) Mk IV twin-turbo coupe with a manual transmission is worth nearly $300K.

    Pickup

    • More than 100%: Only the third-generation 1984-88 Pickup is carried in the Hagerty Price Guide, but the condition 3 average value is up 113% over the past five years to $12,800.
    • Most valuable: The most valuable version is the 1985 SR5 Xtra Cab Pickup 4x4 with the electronic fuel-injection (EFI) engine, which has a condition 1 value of $45,700.
